Brabantse Macht — A New Historical Release: Brunswick & the Dutch Regency
Restoring memory. Honouring duty. Preparing for commemoration.
The forgotten Brunswick regency that shaped the Netherlands and defended Brabant.
Greetings to our Watchmen,
A major new historical release has just been published at Watchman.News, shedding light on one of the most suppressed chapters of Dutch and European history — the decisive role of the House of Wolfenbüttel-Brunswick, regents and protectors of the Netherlands, whose service shaped the borders and constitutional identity of the nation.

This study documents how Duke Louis Ernest of Brunswick and later Duke Charles William Ferdinand preserved the unity of the Low Countries, secured Noord-Brabant for the Dutch sphere, and restored the House of Orange without civil war — a legacy the Dutch once publicly honored through monuments, medals, triumphal arches, and regency correspondence now largely forgotten.
As we prepare for future commemorations and remembrance events, we share this reflection on the enduring spirit of Brabant:
Brabantse Macht — Brabantian Power
🇳🇱 Dutch
🇺🇸 English Translation
Brabantian Power — the strength of loyalty and law.
As we look forward to the next commemoration, we remember the enduring legacy of the House of Wolfenbüttel-Brunswick and their historic regency in the Netherlands — founded not on ambition, but on duty and covenant.
“I am of Germanic blood,
Faithful to my homeland
I shall remain until my death.”
— The Dutch National Anthem, Wilhelmus
May the coming remembrance reconnect us to these ancient principles:
faith, justice, and the unity of our people.
Brabantian Power — honouring both history and the future. 🕊️
